Overview

Role: Sole Developer & System Architect

Precision Pay is a powerful, enterprise-grade Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) designed to streamline leave management, employee performance tracking, appraisals, and automated payroll processing. The system was developed to empower HR departments with modern tools for efficiency, compliance, and people-driven analytics.

Core Modules

  • Leave Management System:

    • Configurable leave types and approval flows

    • Real-time leave balance tracking and history

    • Notifications and escalations for managers

  • Appraisal & Performance Tracking:

    • Custom performance metrics per department

    • Appraisal cycles, 360° feedback, and goal tracking

    • Performance analytics dashboard for leadership teams

  • Payroll Management:

    • Tax-compliant payroll engine with auto-deductions (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF,SHIF)

    • Payslip generation, benefits tracking, and audit trails

    • Integration with banking formats and compliance exports

My Contribution

    • Led end-to-end system design, development, deployment, and support.

    • Built the backend using Nodejs + MongoDB for stability and concurrency.

    • Developed modern, responsive frontend with React and secure authentication.

    • Designed role-based access controls (RBAC) for secure, multi-tiered HR workflows.

    • Implemented CI/CD pipelines for fast, controlled deployments.

    • Deployed the system on Dockerized cloud environments for scalability.

Challenge & Resolution

Challenge:

Resolution:
Designed a modular HRMIS that could be quickly adapted per client, with admin-controlled configurations, templated payroll formulas, and a clean, intuitive UI — reducing HR processing time by over 60%.
